Roger H. Cinnamond

Roger Cinnamond

I met Roger when he joined the FRL board. He was instrumental in the startup of the Children’s Art Calendar 3 years ago. It has been a successful fund raiser, yes, but more than that it was a celebration of the young artists of the Redwoods. He was smart, funny, and a hard worker. It was a privilege and an honor to work with him. He will be sorely missed.

As noted in his obituary:

He was known as a light-hearted, gregarious person who genuinely loved people and was a keen observer of character. He had a special ability to lift ones’ spirits and was dearly loved.

Robert “Andy” Lazelle, Jr.

Robert Lazelle

I knew Robert from the Serendipity Book Store. I was a little bit amazed at the enthusiasm he brought to the job. He hardly ever gave up his slot, and he often volunteered to sub for other book store docents. Many book store patrons would ask me ‘What day is Andy on?’, ‘How is Andy?’, ‘My kids love Andy’. He will be sorely missed.

As noted in his obituary:

Those who knew him felt the warmth of his friendship, those who loved him he will be forever missed. He was delighted to making people happy, always eager to lend a helping hand for others. May his love always be in our hearts, thoughts and actions toward others.
